Overhyped Dice Game Disappoints Kids!

This toy game has not lived up to its promising depiction on the website. Toys and Games category should know better than to oversell a product that is essentially a slightly modified dice-rolling activity. Based on our own experience, the train theme barely adds any value. The game mechanics are overly simplistic and did not keep our children engaged for long. On the flip side, there were actually no cons in terms of quality or durability.

Pros
  • Provides a fun way to learn about trains and history as players take on the roles of train tycoons
Cons
  • Requires at least two players to be enjoyable, limiting solo play options

Train Your Dice Game

This is a great dice game with lots of train related themes. This is probably the best real game from the Koplow series of dice games. Someone rolls the die and can only score when the engine and tender arrive. If this is the case, the player can settle for what they have or continue with the classic Press Your Luck game. This has a great twist on the freight train variant, where if two locomotives (and a tender) roll, the player can keep rolling until they can no longer roll to score pointsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • Boring Packaging

It's amazing that such a compact game has so much to offer.

It's amazing that such a compact game can be so much fun! We have a family dinner that usually ends with some kind of game. We have a wide age range, from 29 to 79, and we usually have at least 6 players, so finding a game that fits our criteria can be difficult. The game should be easy, not too fast and of course fun. This game ticks all the boxes, especially in terms of entertainment. It's easy to learn, but it requires choice and chance because it's a dice game. You can customize this gameโ€ฆ
