    Original fuel filters are the only way out

    Original fuel filters are the only way out. As a mechanic I can tell you that repairing a late model diesel engine is expensive. Don't risk your $50,000 investment on this Cummins engine.

    Cheap OEM Parts

    I only buy Mopar parts for my RAM 2500. They are cheaper than anywhere else and my warranty is maintained. You can buy other filters, but why take the risk when the factory suggests using these?

    I wanted a full 10 micron filter from the factory so I knew I had protection for the diesel injection system. It's a great price and comes free with PRIME. Have bought before and will buy again

    OEM filter on parts

    exactly the same as on the truck. This filter is not easy to remove given the space and location. Make sure you disable the sending device. I had to use a strap wrench on my JD tractor's hydraulic filter to remove it from my truck. Buy a key to remove the broadcast lock, it costs a few bucks.

    Do-it-yourself replacement for Ram Cummins since 2013

    This is one of two fuel filter/water separators that need to be replaced together. The other is on the left side of the engine. This is under the bed next to the fuel tank and has a water separator screwed into its bottom which needs to be pulled off, drained and then unscrewed before unscrewing the filter part. The small seal is for the separator. I also read that you should NOT fill the filter with fuel before screwing it back on. This filter is easy to replace, but it's also easy to get fuel
