It works great for my neighbours' dogs!

Our neighbors have a couple of little barking dogs that bark at EVERYTHING. We are separated by a wooden fence and I wasn't sure if this Dog Dazer would fit through the fence. But it is so! As the dogs start barking at me, I carefully pull the Dazer out of my pocket, point to the fence, push and hold the button for a second or two, and the barking dogs stop and run away. Seriously, it's like magic. The barkers seem to have learned pretty quickly, and now I don't have to use it very often. Worth

Out of Order - Dogs

As delivery drivers, we are always exposed to all sorts of dogs when delivering packages to houses and apartment buildings. Dogs always run to the front gate/front door and bark uncontrollably. Some of us have even been bitten because owners don't keep their pets on a leash when they are supposed to walk their dogs. So I decided to try this product to see if it would help on my shipping routes. Unfortunately, this product didn't live up to its name. The dogs just kept barking and barking and…

My neighbor German Shepherd calculated property every time I went out. I told my neighbors that the dog was becoming more aggressive, but they said I was wrong. My only defense was an invisible fence and I'm sorry but watching an adult 80lb dog pounce on me wasn't fun at all. I got a dazer and every time the dog was outside I would point in his direction and push the button. The dog immediately ran to the door and wanted to be let into the house. The neighbors must have noticed that because…

It really works! Best in Dogs

I'll admit I was a bit skeptical when I ordered this. My neighbor's dog drives me nuts when I step on the back porch and I needed a solution to plug him without being obvious (water hose handling etc.). I tried it and WOW! I can barely hear it (the LED is on too, so you know it's working). The dog knows exactly how it works. The first time I tried he immediately shut up, turned and walked away as if he was uncomfortable being around (it was about 15 feet from a wooden fence. I keep him close so

Marginal results - higher result required

Works partially, but should be more powerful. I understand that it is difficult to find a balance between those who really need this device and those cruel people who would go too far, but I think the government is too conservative. It is very directional and appears to have a very narrow beam. The dog's ears should also be pointing towards you and you should do your best to catch the dog before it starts barking. or it is much more difficult than deterrence. As long as I can catch a certain…

Didn't work when I needed it.

Don't waste time with this product. I do not recommend this product or the manufacturer. I've only had this item a few weeks and never had to use it until earlier this week when I was walking my two dogs when I was approached by a rather aggressive pit bull mix. Pressing the dazer did nothing, only then did I realize that the LED didn't even light up. I thought the battery was dead, opened it up and checked, the battery is fully charged, I just replaced it to check and got the same result. I…

It works, but please read the instructions first

Worked for me (so far). However, I was hesitant to buy it because of the mixed reviews. However, I can easily see how this can be abused and thus lead to disappointing results. Being a "read the instructions first" type, I read the instructions first before using them (as a deterrent). It's not a Star Trek phaser where you just hold the button down. Press the button for 1-2 seconds (then release). It is advisable to stay close to the dog (1.50 to 4.50 m). The first time I used it on my…

Also works with baboons

I read some reviews here before purchasing this item. As with other reviews, I found it to have limited effects on small dogs. I have two miniature poodles and one morning they flew out the door making all sorts of noises. Although not at all why I bought it - thought it would be a good opportunity for a gentle test. I quickly/briefly touched the button but they didn't respond suggesting they heard it at all. Since I can't hear either - I wanted to ask if the device works at all. A few days…
