easy to install and very good price

easy to install and pretty good price. These are two (2) bolts that will need to be removed, the shaft replaced and the bolts returned. Firestone wanted to charge me $450 to replace it

Pros
  • very good price
Cons
  • i will add later

Buy 2006 Malibu LS

I had some steering issues and this was the last part I had to install. It held up just as it should and now my steering wheel is tight and doesn't rattle when turning. Now let's see how long this lasts.

Pros
  • Sleek Design
Cons
  • Zero

Please note that two tie rods are not included in the scope of delivery.

To tighten any vehicle part with a ball joint by a lag bolt, it is always preferable to replace the old bolt with a new one when not required. Unfortunately, this supplier does not include two screws along with the shaft.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Only available in black

Problem solved for about 100 miles

My intermediate shaft was making noise due to a known problem, I replaced it with this part and I would say it fixed the problem for about 100 miles but now the noise is back there. This product definitely looked "more powerful" than the stock part, but that doesn't mean it's any better.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Some difficulties

calidad,seguridad en funcion price

La pieza recibida (Dorman 425-156 ") en tiempo y con las especificaciones referidas. ya fue instalada. Straight fit OK. 2.2. Port tener un "ruido " al girar. ""TURN" Knocking/clapping in the steering" "SIN NINGUNA SOLUCION" THEN THE MYSTERIOUS "CLUNKY NOISE" THANK YOU

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion

This steering shaft appears to be well made. It actually looks more durable than a genuine GM part and costs less! This steering shaft finally eliminated the steering knock that had plagued my car since it was new. They lubricated the steering shaft for me and even changed it under warranty (more than 10 years ago!), but the knock kept coming. I believe GM redesigned the steering shaft in 2009, but my car was 5 years old at the time and long ago out of warranty. I installed this shaft a fewโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Solid finish
Cons
  • Damaged

Great value for a remanufactured OEM part to properly match the 2007 Chevrolet Malibu Lt 2.2L. This vehicle has electronic power steering. Listed as unsuitable by Revain (already contacted / pending update). If you hear a typical GM sound when turning the steering wheel - the sound is a new and updated Dorman part. A noise may be heard when turning the steering wheel. Of course, note that many other suspension/link parts can make similar noises, so make sure it's coming from the shaft beforeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Decent Performance
