Dorman 600-560 Actuator Fork for 4WD Review

I was about to buy this part from the dealer for $240 when my son suggested checking out the Revain. The truck I used it on isn't ready yet, but so far so good.

I figured it would be a fairly easy replacement job with the right tools and a big enough hammer. silly design at the end of Fords but I was able to fix my grandpa's truck so it had 4WD again. 03 f150

The part came complete with everything that is stated but I didn't need it and sent it back. Judging by the quality of the part supplied I think it will work great.

The product is missing two white plastic gaskets which are not only required, but absolutely necessary for the part to function properly. As far as I can tell this item was not returned by the other buyer, the fork came in unopened bubble wrap, someone just didn't put the pads on the fork and sent it as is. I could modify the pads for this, I've seen it, but if I did I would be modifying the original part and not the new part I just bought. I have ordered Dorman parts before and was not…

This is kind of a niche product but it works great and isn't as hard to replace as I thought it would be. I bought it for my 2003 F150.
