So Far So Good - Heater

The part has worked well so far although it was difficult to snap into place. You have to make sure you hear the click! Or he jumps out. Don't forget to buy a special tool to help "long-range pliers".

Pros
  • Specific Application - To match the original fit and function of the heater hoses on specific vehicle years, makes and models
Cons

Eh works but with potential cost

Great option for replacing hoses. Mine didn't need repairs yet, but while I was in the engine bay I went ahead and replaced the factory plastics with these. My only issue was that after a week the plastic compression piece that goes to the pipe came loose and I lost all of the antifreeze. I had to reattach it and use a pick to make sure the clamps held better. • I don't remember but there was something

As others have pointed out, the square fitting supplied by Dorman is complete junk. Mine came off on the freeway and spilled all the coolant. As it flew away, the internal O-rings scattered somewhere, and I hobbled to the house on the old leaky assembly. I then used a PVC cutter to cut the plastic ring on the factory fitting and relocated it to the Dorman hose (you will now need to use a clamp as the diameter is too large for a spring clamp). He's acting like a sucker now. The second hose…

Updating an existing design. Great replacement set.

The OEM design is not perfect and this really needs to be remembered. A plastic part consisting of two parts joined together under pressure and heat. hmm really? I'm glad Dorman is selling this replacement kit to replace a factory OEM design flaw. It's painfully obvious what the problem is when you start looking around. I was able to swap out the hoses with very little effort. To be honest, the hardest part is putting the pliers on the old clamps and removing the old parts. The new hoses come…
