Won't solve your problem!

Don't buy if you have a 14mm stock!. Can't even type a tip. It's too big! maybe 15.5mm which didn't allow me to fit in my Honda Civic aluminum pan.

Bolt worked great! for oil drain plugs

I installed this bolt on my 2012 Honda Pilot last night. There was a bit of work to do since the oil pan was steel, but it worked and was very happy with my $6 repair compared to the $450 my mechanic wanted (which also caused the problem).

Pros
  • Absolutely brilliant!
Cons
  • Nothing

Ideal solution for stripped threads

Ideal solution for stripped oil pan drain threads. Use a single oversize before a double. Also, you need to tighten to 30 ft/lbs (which means you need a torque wrench). Using this will prevent future stripping (even prevent it in the first place).

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Updates

This will fix the leaking drain plug!

This is just what you need when your drain plug is broken. It is very easy to install. Just drain the old oil and slowly tighten this bolt. It will tighten the hole as you tighten it. Don't let anyone tell you to take it to a mechanic to have it fixed. You can do it yourself!

This oversized plug may interfere with oil pan replacement.

Worked great! The drain plug on my 2006 Honda Pilot had snapped off. I was about to swap the oil pan but decided to try that first. This is difficult to install - be sure to route the connector straight. It took about 45 minutes - plug in a quarter turn, remove, wipe the plug to remove chips, plug in a half turn, remove. . . Repeat this process until the connector is fully inserted. I used old oil to wash off the remaining shavings. The supplied washing machine was not used. Instead, I used a…
