Almost perfect for belts, hoses and pulleys

Part exactly as ordered and almost perfect for my 2005 Mazda 6 V6 MT. I had to cut a small section near the intake valve to allow the O2 sensor connector to fit properly, and the stock connector fitted the replacement hose very snugly. A little oil and some elbow grease and you're done. All in all, with all the mechanical prowess, this can be a quick setup for the everyday rider. The part seems to work perfectly. Very little change in intake noise, but I also installed a K&N filter so it couldโ€ฆ

Fits perfectly but minor issue

This air intake hose fitted my Mazda perfectly. It looks just like the original. The original intake pipe had snapped in the folds of an accordion. This caused CEL error P0174 (Bank 2 Bias). I had a problem with the product. After installation, my car started making a strange squeaking noise about 30 seconds after starting the car. I removed the intake hose and inspected it closely. I found that the vacuum line was sealed on the hose. The hose came with a new vacuum elbow already installed. Soโ€ฆ

Perfect fit for a 2004 Mazda 6

I took my 2004 Mazda 6 to the local Jiffy Lube for an oil change and unfortunately the air intake hose at the bottom snapped while changing the air filter. They taped the connector and said if I got a new part they would put it in for me for free. My local Mazda dealership wanted $160 for the part plus about $35 for installation. Pep Boys had a $92 stake and roughly the same pay as Mazda. Went online on Revain, found this part for $74, checked the reviews and found some reviews from 2004 Mazdaโ€ฆ

Does not fit directly - requires modification

My OEM hose was badly cracked and brittle - 2005 3.0L V6 with 110,000 rdg. I put black tape on the accordion part which fixed the problem for a short time. Sure it's a good item at a great price but where the O2 sensor is connected to the hose next to the throttle body. Modification. The OEM "lining" at this point is nothing more than the little knee that comes with this thing. So you need to cut a suitable (OEM) elbow from the discarded inlet hose and graft it onto this new hose. a little lube

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Low repairability

Very satisfied! for air filter inlet

I bought this based on customer reviews hoping it would fit my 2007 Mazda6 and of course it fit perfectly! A trip to Jiffy Lube in St. George caused my intake hose when they tried to take my air filter out but broke my intake hose in the process. Of course they never told me they broke anything and charged me money arms and legs for a simple oil change. I only found out about this after I left for California and by then it was too late to complain. While on vacation in California, my car'sโ€ฆ
