Dorman 741 721 Toyota Driver Regulator Review

This is a great replacement for the old OEM. It's not that difficult to replace, but the first one takes a lot of time to learn how to remove and install. However, after the first, the rest is easier and takes less time. Motors swapped on all four doors. I'm glad my windows all work like new. FYI, buy a trim tool kit so you don't damage the plastic parts that snap the door panels into place.

I paid about $40 more for this part than the others with bad reviews. During installation the motor assembly had some play and had to be adjusted about 5 times to keep the window on track. Worked about 10 times and then got out of the rut. In short, this product needs stronger metal on the threads. I have 2 who are naked and afraid to pull the other up. The only difference from the original part is that it doesn't come with the same metal grommets that help you align to make installation easier. For me it was no problem at all! All you have to do is line up the four holes closest to the motor to form a square/rectangle and it's easy! This part is relatively easy to assemble. Unscrewing and removing the door panel and reinstalling it is the hardest part. The rest just needs patience. This took about 30 minutes or so. You will likely need painter's tape to cover the window while you attach and screw in the device. My 2000 Camry's window was stuck - wouldn't go all the way up and down.
