🚪 Dorman 79336 Replacement Front Exterior Door Handle - Driver Side, Black Review

Worked on Honda Accord 1999 EX. The only problem was that he couldn't get near the keyhole. I think it's because the lock cylinder is broken, but I can't tell. I would say that otherwise it fits well and feels solid.

Unfortunately did not fit my '98 Accord Coupe EX (although it is write compatible). Note that this will leave an open gap around the opposite end of the keyhole, my mechanic wasn't able to adjust it inside the door either. much to our regret.

I ordered this part because it was supposed to fit the driver's side of my 2000 Honda Accord Ex 2 door. The molding fits 80% but it doesn't really fit the hole in the door. My door is currently working again but removing the doorknob requires destroying the disposable clip so I wasn't even able to repair and reinstall my old handle. Ultimately this handle is a disappointment as I have to order another part to replace it to get my car looking like it should again.

The product replaced my old broken door handle quite well. It comes unpainted in black, I used Duplicolor Perfect Match, 2 coats of base coat and 2 coats of clear coat. Fits well, I'll try to wax to try and match the color as best as I can. Took me 1.5 hours to do this, it would be really nice if instructions were included, especially considering how technically difficult it is to pull the lock cylinder out of the old handle and then install it in the new one, a new door handle costs $19. So far so good. The part itself was fine, the problem was finding a youtube video showing how to install the front door latch. The one I found was poorly made and used rubble so some parts/steps were uncovered. There are good videos on how to remove the inner door panel. The best advice I can give is not to remove the lock barrel from the inner metal bracket - just pull the retaining clip on the old front door latch (this item) and then the lock barrel and inner metal frame will come out. an…
