Dorman 800 301 Fuel Line Repair Review

I was hesitant to purchase this tool because of its cost but after trying to route lines without it I have to say it's worth every penny is. I was able to build a flush line in minutes using a 90 and straight and then repaired the straight fitting directly to the fuel tank with no problem. The perfect tool for the job! BTW there is no instructions and the link mentioned in previous reviews is dead but there is youtube.

I asked them for a PDF manual and they sent me the file in less than 12 hours! I wish the ratchet had shorter ratchet segments to have a more precise movement when pushing, but other than that it worked as advertised and I reconnected all my connectors. It takes practice to get the timing right and figuring out what temperature to heat the hose to, so try again with the excess material, especially if you're connecting barbed brass fittings.

Product is great for straight and 90 degree and end adapters (to terminate a hose or change from 5/16 to 3/8) if you have fittings. However, it DOES NOT come with a 45 degree quick disconnect holder such as: B. for Bundy 45 degree quick couplers. You must order part 801-353. This product did not come with any instructions at all and the only thing I could find online was a barely watchable video that didn't go into much detail anyway. It took me a while to figure out how it fits together etc. It really worked. I was able to fit a nylon fuel line into a barbed steel fuel line as well as a quick disconnect on the other end.
