Do not buy due to fumes and emissions

Damaged part. It took weeks to figure out why my power steering wasn't working and over a thousand dollars in parts trying to get to its button when the whole time it was about this part.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Empty

GUR drive coupling pin missing

The vacuum pump worked great but I had an issue with the power steering pump not working after the vacuum switch to the power steering pumps was completed. In doing so, I found that there was no pin on the power steering pump drive coupling. I ripped to fix myself because I didn't have time to wait for a new one. Everything works now.

Doesn't quite fit '95 Ram 2500 CTD (workaround)

I'm giving it 3 stars because it seems like it works. The pump I received had the oil port in the wrong place. I had to use a 1/8" male and female road elbow to be able to connect the oil line. Otherwise the pump bolted in cleanly. Can't comment on durability but I can say it definitely doesn't fit.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • So far so good

I'm not saying these are bad devices, but next time I'll take a reman.

I bought this because my HP pump on my Dodge 99 needed replacing. I had it about 2 months before installation. The seal is leaking. The term "poured out" would be more correct. I paid $400 to replace the seal thinking I made a mistake installing it. A day later it started dripping and now it's pouring again. I'm not saying these are bad units, but next time I'll use a repair unit. I have not contacted the seller for a replacement. No product is perfect. just say

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine

Not for 95 and for trucks. And it's still flowing.

I already sealed my factory vacuum pump but it keeps leaking so I decided to try a new one. The most important thing to know is that if you have a 95.5 truck or older, this pump is a PITA. The stainless steel braided oil hose is not long enough to reach the nipple. It also won't reach the 90° knee as mentioned before. I ended up having to go to Napa to make a custom one. In addition, the pump does not allow you to install a support that is attached to the block. I'm not sure if the Cummins…

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Long delivery time

The first vacuum pump I received from this dealer leaked through the stuffing box and I had to request another pump which was shipped immediately and I received it two days later. These pumps appear to be cast/forged in Argentina and the bolt holes that the steering pump mounts rest in will not allow the OEM skirt nuts to sit flat unless you saw off the rounded corner or used regular nuts with lock washers. If your Dodge Ram is 98.5 or newer, this pump does not have a one-way check valve like…

  • Slim design
