Identical to deleting

Had a P2004 on my 09 Sebring 2.4. Rudder 1 bank stick open. Removed intake was dirty, removed control valve looked rusty around the edges, soaked in wd40, still p2004 after 150 miles. I searched the web, found it on Revain, looked at the same thing and came back up. tightened and runs sooooo far, even better because the old one gets stuck when open. Received in 2 days. Works great, must drive over 150 miles to see. A new p2017 code appeared after 40 miles, a high chain value is bad!๐Ÿ‘Ž

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • poorly thought out

It's easy to replace

My wife's 2008 Dodge Avenger had P2017 codes and failed emissions tests. It was either that control valve or an actual intake manifold. We took a chance and replaced this part before replacing the entire intake manifold. Easy to replace; You need to remove a hose and three screws to remove it. Luckily, after about 30 minutes of driving, the computer cleared the code itself and the check engine light went out. Worth the risk if your engine runs smoothly!

  • Practical

  • So far so good

Check engine control module starts again after 400 miles

Received, in new condition. I removed the intake manifold, replaced the gasket, cleaned the guides and they moved smoothly, replaced the o-ring between the control module (the part I'm looking at). With everything clean and fresh, I installed this runner control module, clearing codes before and after installation. The light just came back with the same runner control module stuck open and closed. Just over 400 km. Actually, it cannot be the service life of a factory spare part. I'mโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No power

No More Check Engine Light

The Check Engine Light gave the code for the intake manifold position switch on our 2008 Avenger. inlet hose and then the three screws that hold the unit in place). After about 30km the engine light went out and hasn't come back for over 300km. I would expect the little gears in this little engine to loosen over time as there was a faint whining noise from the old one prior to the replacement (turn the key all the way without starting, get under the hood and listen softly). The same detailโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to Read Control Panel
Cons
  • New Competitors

Must try! - Engine Parts

My check engine light came on just before my labels expired. Autozone and my local body shop gave me a p2017 code for up to $700 to fix plus $104 to diagnose the problem. Apparently I need to replace the intake manifold or this part. (Dodge 2008 avenger se) I decided I couldn't lose with the price of this part and the research I found showed that it was easy to replace. Also, I didn't have any problems with my car ie "Lumpy operation/starting problems" as the mechanic asked me. After Iโ€ฆ
