No more best codes in spare parts

Perfect fit. There are no more codes. Liked the ease of attachment but didn't like the design of the Subaru bracket. I had to trim the bracket to get the screw out.

The only non-genuine sensor that works

Solved VVT Solenoid Valve CEL Codes on 2009 Subaru Segacy 2.5 are very picky about non-genuine sensors but this one works perfectly!

The item worked. No more codes!

Spent a week trying to figure everything out. You can hear the solenoid valve tripping, but the DTC is still set. I tried cleaning the wiring, measuring, but the code still came back. Finally just swapped it out (after changing the switch) and voila, that's it.

Perfect fit for my 2010 Forester

Just grab a 10mm ratchet wrench to get the job done. Remove the battery so you have a place to work. You'll also need a screwdriver to pry up the part underneath a bit, which will give you some room to access the nut on that magnet to remove it. Generally work for 10 minutes.

Works great: Replacement parts

Well my check engine light went out after installation so what else can I ask. The goofy mechanic hacked into the electrical box and just fed the wire neatly in while he changed the power steering wires without my noticing, but after the check engine light came on I barely touched it and the wire fell off. The weird check engine light came on the day after he replaced the steering lines, so I guarantee he broke it because it closes where you route the metal lines to the strut. So my old one…

DORMAN 917-246 Variable Valve Timing Solenoid works great!

2007 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Solenoid with Adjustable Control Valve. This is a direct replacement for the driver's side front end of a naturally aspirated Subaru 2.5 engine. Passenger side 917-247. I got an engine code P0026 (driver side solenoid) and the RPM reached 4000. I replaced the factory block with this new block and cleared the codes and the engine runs perfect!
