Better OEM ride quality in engine parts

Great replacement for crappy OEM mounts, I ordered black but got yellow for some reason, I wanted to buy other polyurethane mounts which are cheaper but like a lot of reviews said that your ride is stiffer. I chose Dorman instead. What a good choice. They feel like OEM quality 6 or 8 years of comfortable riding instead of a lifetime of hard riding with polyurethane.

Here's what I found out.

When you have a big job and need to replace cab mounts. This is for you. Here's what you need for Crewcab. This applies to 08-16. Some people say they have black bushings, others say they have yellow ones. I spoke to Dorman Technical Support and was told the following: Truck Cab Bushings 924-065 Position 1 Radiator 924-066 Position 2 Firewall 924-320 Position 3 Under Driver Seat 924-066 Position 4 Rear of Cab The bushings can be black or be yellow, I can say black bushings are stiffer. But…

An easy choice for me.

My 2009 Super Duty 250 had 3 body mounts replaced 5 years ago. 2. I could pay $125-$150 for some polyurethane retainers (like Dayco) and then take a ride to get the fillings out of my mouth, or 3. install them for $380-$400. They are a bit stiffer than stock but very acceptable compared to polyurethane. I only needed 6 because there are only 8 for the cabin and 1 pair was actually rubber and was in good condition after 10 years. Other owners find that this also applies to their trucks. This…

Ride Resored to New

My husband installed them on his 2009 F-250 Crew Cab in the first position. Removing the original OEM mounts was pathetic. Front mounts are notorious for sticking and needing to be cut out to remove. And indeed him too. My husband found a tutorial online that said the headlight assembly could be removed to access the cage nut in the truck frame. It is true. DO NOT HIT THE MOUNTING SCREWS. Only use hand tools for removal and installation. A 7/8" wrench was used on the cage nut, but it still…

I did research for you. These are the best mounts for the Ford SuperDuty.

My opinion in this review is for the entire set of Dorman body mounts for my 2008 F-250, not just the radiator mounts as I feel they need to be assessed in their entirety It would be difficult to do each one Rate pair without using the Dorman mounts in any position on the truck. First compare the material with standard bindings: It is real hard rubber. Not soft rubber that can be easily crushed, but not so hard that they lack cushioning. Ford bearing retainers are not rubber. I don't know what…
