How to install it correctly

They work great and are basically exactly the same as the Ford. Here is my advice wherever you buy this part. YOU MUST USE THE EXTRA SILICONE ADHESIVE! IF YOU DON'T DO THIS, it will eventually detach enough from the car body to catch the wind and IT WILL CRASH. I used one from Loctite which is specifically designed for gluing upholstery to cars. I apply it to each connection point where the clamps attach. You can find it at any local auto parts store. BE CAREFUL WHEN ALIGNING THE SMALL WHITE…

Pros
  • Easy installation - no special tools required
Cons
  • Very expensive

Easy installs on 2011 Ford Explorer

We bought a used 2011 Ford Explorer and our first A-pillar trim came off and flew off Roadtrip. The inside of the shelf was damaged so it had to be replaced as well. Installation was easy despite the lack of instructions. The fit was perfect. In hindsight, pictures would have been helpful, but here are the steps I took: 1. Remove the existing rack liner. Save the screws.2. The top part of the outer panel is inserted into a hole in the vehicle frame. When the old one broke off, its clip stayed…

Pros
  • Direct replacement - this replacement A-pillar trim looks and fits like the original part
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

If you have the money, buy OEM

You're probably here because the OEM part is expensive is. Please note that the quality of this product is not the best and you may lose time and money installing it professionally. I switched passenger side and driver side and went through five packages (four with Revain and one with eBay). I have two that worked (not perfect, but hey, you save money by not buying OEM). First you need to glue the upper plastic part, since the manufacturer uses almost no glue, see photo. You can use JB Weld…

Pros
  • Make sure this part fits your car, enter make, model and trim level into Amazon Garage
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
