Jobs Only: Staples and Parts

This staple is approximately 1 inch shorter than my original one. And the metal bushing in the bottom bushing is maybe 0.25" wide and had to be turned to fit. I'm glad I have 2 of these bushings to do both sides or it wouldn't end well.

Didn't work for shock absorbers, struts and suspension

I have an 82 C10. By offsetting the sleeve to one side, it is made in such a way that the shackle on the other side could not move without hitting the frame bracket. Tried everything. Even flip one. As a result, I bought a cheaper kit and everything worked. Spent $80 on one set to pay $30 on another set.

  • Nice
Cons
  • Obsolete

Design flaw.: Replacement parts

Will NOT fit properly on my Chevy 86. It contacts the leaf spring mount and prevents the caliper from going straight up. I had to sand the side of the strut as well as the strut it meets to get the right movement. This corset design is too wide on the side of the corset compared to the original. It snaps into place, but jams under load. If you buy these, screw on the shackle without the spring first to make sure it works properly, or don't buy the whole shackle. This problem set me back several

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
