When I first saw this book many years ago, I loved every cover in it. I started making one and then I lost the book. So glad to see it back in print. It's full of beautiful designs. You can use parts of these designs for edging etc if you don't want to make a whole quilt. (I think most bedspreads require smaller needles, like "0" or "00". I know my metal needles are bent from multi-stitch popcorn, etc.)

I was in love with knitted blankets/throws so of course I had to buy this book. The photos and illustrations are worth the price of the book in my opinion. I really want to try to make one of these and even bought first size needles for it. I think I'll start on it in January with a goal of finishing it by December. Why? Just to say I finally made one! Even if you never do it yourself, it's worth just having a book and dreaming about it.

I saw an Afghan pattern on Ravelri that said it was a bedspread. I had heard the word from my mother and other elders since I was a child, but I didn't know what it meant except that it was related to the veil. I liked what I saw on Ravelry so I looked for more information. I found this book and realized I needed it. I think it takes a lot of practice to get good at squares, but they don't seem too difficult. It looks like the bedspread might take a long time to make, but it was worth it…
