Terrible Electronic Trailer Accessory

This product was a complete waste of money. It malfunctioned repeatedly and caused damage to my automotive trailer. The only positive thing I can say is that it was easy to install. However, the cons far outweigh that one benefit. Save yourself the hassle and look for a different brand.

Pros
  • Efficient and advanced braking control system
Cons
  • Requires professional installation for proper functioning

2004 f250, easy to assemble and looks great.

2004 F250, plug play, not yet used but easy to install. The included screws look like they will rip off the plastic wrap over time. I made a metal bracket that goes behind the dash to make a secure mount for the controller. I bought a Tekonsha wiring harness for easy connection to the Pintuck wiring. I would like the LEDs to turn off automatically after the ignition is on and the trailer is not in, but with two small LEDs I think it will be fine.

Pros
  • Proportional brake control means hard braking
Cons
  • ill thought out

works, although not as well as more expensive units

Small size is a plus, although manual operation is difficult and adjustment method will vary depending on trailer size and adjustment location. adjust on the street. Not needed very often and works well enough for this particular truck as it sometimes doesn't pull more than 5-6 tons. But if you frequently have to haul large loads for miles, across varied terrain, and in tough weather conditions, spend the extra money for a better piece of equipment you don't have to worry about.

Pros
  • Diagnostics built into LED display for easy viewing; reverse polarity protection; automatically levels and compensates for inclines/slopes
Cons
  • I'll write later
