Description of Dremel 663DR 4 Inch Glass Drilling

Drill holes in both flat and contoured glass. Diamond-impregnated cutting bit for long life. Diamond grit around the circumference of the bit allows it to rasp a larger hole if needed. Holes on the side of the bit allow the removal of material. Dremel cutting oil not included.

GREAT TOOL AND EASY TO USE!

Product update: I was wrong. I had a feeling it wasn't Dremel's fault. I've been good at it for so long that I decided to do a Google search. I stumbled upon a few hacks and now it works GREAT! ----- Inferior quality. I used this piece to drill 4 holes. Fifth hole failed and continued to overheat. I had to buy another one for a normal drill. I expected MUCH more from Dremel. I use their products for everything. I sincerely think this particular piece was defective because I know the Dremel is…

Pros
  • Dremel coolant not included.
Cons
  • Not sure

I used a dremel workstation to get a nice hole. Keep the drill cool

I have never used a drill this size, only 1/8 inch. I used a dremel workstation to get a nice hole. you stay a little cool I use a spray bottle filled with water. (I have 6 corded 3000, 8220 and 7300 battery operated plus a workstation, a multi vise, 2 flex shafts and almost all dremel bits and anything with a 1/8" shank. I didn't buy a 4000 mainly because it even so is heavy, expensive and didn't require power. The only 2 attachments I don't like are the shield (just outside the shield, no…

Pros

Loads better than standard glass tile bits.

THIS WORKS VERY WELL. I cannot express how much better this bit works compared to the standard glass tile bit you find at any major store. If you need to drill/grind through glass tile and have a Dremel, buy this bit! You will not regret it. We have a glass tile shower. We had to drill some holes in the tiles to install the shower screen. The contractors estimated $800 to drill 4 separate 1/4" holes. Several tilers have told us that there is a high risk of the tiles cracking during the process.

Pros
  • Diamond cutter for long life
Cons
  • Small things
