Good quality, too expensive

Dremel thread is of good quality. The colors I tried are good. The gold looks vaguely metallic, the white is whiter than most other white threads I've tried, and the red (although translucent) is a nice red color and not too orange. Silver is more gray, but also beautiful. One thing I love that I haven't seen with other filament I've bought is the indicator on the inside of the spool that lets you estimate how much filament is left on the spool. However, it's hard to ignore that this yarn isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Additive Manufacturing Products
Cons
  • Small things

We have had great results with this device in the Dremel Idea Builder 3D45! The standard 3D45 spools come with RFID, so the settings are made automatically as soon as they are inserted into the printer. Since they didn't have the mentioned RFID tag, the printer asked me to select the material type and then various other settings for the material, like extruder temperature, heatbed temperature, etc. This wasn't a problem and I was able to control all of them. . on the printer itself or in theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Consumables for 3D printing
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Extremely brittle, good shape memory, breaks between uses

Like all other Dremel PLAs I've used in my Digilab 3D45, this filament breaks after every few uses if left for no more than 2 Days in a row (cracks in 2 or more places due to the strong memory of the round shape and the fragility of the thread). This happens at a maximum of 3 places: in the guide tube, outside the guide tube and next to the extruder. I don't have this problem with other brands of filament in my other non-Dremel 3D printer. I contacted Dremel support earlier this year about this
