There were a number of reviewers who stated a UV light was not included. The one I received did include the light and the pens. It worked as described and the included guide tells you where the security threads are located on each bill. The pen is more difficult to use than I thought because it was hard to see the line I drew, but it worked as advertised.

I bought these for my yard sale to ensure I could pick out fake bills. This is after a family member accidentally passed my child a $100 bill for a gift that was caught by my bank & I got written up by Homeland Security. The ultraviolet light easily picks up all the bill thread as it glows, & I never found a fake bill after the yard sale. I got this for my sister and myself. She had taken cash to put in her bank account. Not only was she truly embarrassed, but she was out $20. Evidently, she was given a counterfeit $20 bill at her small business. She didn’t spot it with the naked eye. Just what I needed.With the influx of counterfeits rolling thru and me doing so many craft shows, it’s good to have at least one of these on hand.I’ve only had to check a few bills and none have come up counterfeit as of yet, so that’s a good thing.

I like this counterfeit pen set. I use it for checking money during Craigslist transactions. It functions as shown. The only issue I've found with it is, if you are in the sunlight, the light to check for the micro-thread in the bill is useless--you need to be in someplace without direct sunlight.The pen is made in the U.S.A., BUT the light is made in communist China.I would recommend this product.

The pens help me mark bills at the register to make sure they're not fake. The mark is easily readable. Plus the blacklight shines bright to show me the security lines in the bills. I like them, easy to use.
