This carbide drill is very hard and very sharp, and with almost no pressure it was possible to cut through chrome-molybdenum-vanadium to drill alloy steel. For my particular application, I had to incrementally rotate the drill from 45 degrees to 90 degrees to get to the recessed end of the blind post.
