Sharp but brittle. You have to be careful

Be careful with these bits, they can work well in shallow holes, but I drilled 1.25" holes in aluminum, 1/8 deep each, turned them out and the Drill cleaned. and after lubricating with WD40 it had two broken bits which are almost at the end of the whole which means having to work on the hole with about an inch spare bit. There will never be a problem with titanium drill bits for port cargo. Although they're sharp and cut aluminum like butter, they're brittle and if they bite off more than they…

Clicked quickly, inconsistent width. Upset.

Very uncomfortable. I bought these to drill through a steel trailer after the cobalt drill bit from my Milwaukee set broke, thinking 10 drill bits would go through (trailer firmware 7.5 x 11 feet) but no, I have a whole one ordered second set which is even worse. The beats varied. Some popped the first whole I tried to drill, some clicked in the first 5, the exceptions took longer. Also, the first pack I bought had a hole pre-drilled to fit the #8 screws I was using, then the second pack had…

Pros
  • Power tool parts and accessories
Cons
  • Can't remember

A word on the negative reviews which state they are brittle, this is a specially engineered alloy designed to retain a higher hardness at higher temperatures. Higher hardness = less strength, think of the difference between glass and rubber. One is hard, the other heavy. The steel is machined for the perfect combination of hardness and strength. IF you're just looking for a great set for drilling pilot holes in wood they may not be for you as they won't bend like cheaper bits without breaking…
