Easy to connect for spares

I have one more part to buy and finish the frame before the job is done but so far so good. The overall assessment asks for transparency. This is a weird question about an electronic module because there's nothing clean about it.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Some small things

Not suitable for low power applications.

The instructions say 0.015A quiescent current and 0.05A working current. I was running off a 0.5A 12VDC power supply and the unit shut down when the timer cycle was active. application.what is what I'm testing it for.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Good useful timer

Works well, easy to use. I combined this with the Drok signal generator. This timer controls the output of the signal generator to provide a timed programmable frequency signal. I just wish it would also allow setting it as a number of hours. The maximum setting is currently 9,999 minutes, i.e. only 166.65 hours. Small problem, otherwise it's perfect for my needs!

Works well but the edge of the panel mount is tiny

I like how the three hinges are slightly recessed but flush with the bottom and cover the edge of the panel mount. Difficult to slide into the hole with the wires connected. If the hole is larger, it will pass through, and if it is inserted without a cable, the bottom of the closet will not allow a connection. The screw terminals must be set back at least the wire gauge or a large edge to allow for a larger hole to be cut. I hope that makes sense. Difficult to explain.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Use it to time an induction heater to glow cartridges

I use it to control the on/off time of an induction heater used to glow cartridge brass. The relay is rated at 5 amps, and an induction heater will draw about the same or even more, so I used the relay to drive a 25 amp solid state relay that uses an AC trigger. A very small load on the timer should increase the number of relay cycles. Its claimed value is over 100,000 actuation cycles, but a SSR should offer at least that many life cycles. Works perfectly. Revain should come with anโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Reliability

Simply the best timer from DROK

At last count I probably bought 6 units of DROK. More specific instructions would have been helpful, but I struggled through by pressing the buttons as it took me 0.01 seconds, a single shot, and finally got it done. I use mine to sync a spot weld relay to a foot pedal. Impossible without a single shot timer that fires faster than a human can press the momentary switch. I bought an identical unit from another Revain supplier. They are of the same quality. The link below is easier to navigateโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
