Great inexpensive dance shoes

I've been salsa dancing in these shoes twice a week for several months and they've held up great. I have very narrow feet which makes the toe box too big so I put gel insoles in each shoe. This made them much more comfortable and a better fit. I had to drill another hole in the band. The shoes are not very high quality but they fit me perfectly and I would buy them again.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Good but not great

Nice shoes but big

These shoes are nice, classic and well made at first glance, but be careful. they are quite big. I always wear a size 9.5 in street shoes, but go to a size 9 in dance shoes so my toes can reach the end of the insole. The size 9 I received was still half a size too big. I like them so much I sent them back and ordered the 8.5 and hopefully also makes the front straps too loose (even though I have skinny legs).

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Quality

It's a little big, but so far so good.

I usually wear a 7.5 but dance shoes (and dress shoes) should be a bit smaller - more like a 7. Even a 7 is too big I probably should have ordered a 6.5. I use panels on the back of the heel and on the ball of the foot to make them more snug. (Although the ball of the foot doesn't stick to the boot due to the fabric inside, my foot holds it fairly well.) The strap is also a bit loose. Overall the shoes work well - this is my first pair so I really don't know what to look for in dance shoes butโ€ฆ

Cheap design

At first I had no idea how to attach the buckle. It would be very handy if there were instructions for the clasp in the box. It wasn't until I went to the product Q&A and searched for "buckle" that I found a link on how to buckle a shoe. The shoes are poorly and cheaply constructed. You can see the dried glue holding them together. As soon as I put on my shoes, I walked the entire corridor - a maximum of 10-12 steps. The shoes feel lumpy and uneven. I can't imagine ever dancing in it. Afterโ€ฆ

Great choice for first dance (salsa) shoes

I am very happy with this shoe and want to share my beginner experience with future explorers. I'm new to dancing, just learning salsa and was looking for a heeled sandal with the right sole (as opposed to my usual craving for a pull lol). I didn't wear heels for 10 years as I was nearly disabled from severe osteoarthritis in one knee. . I recently had a joint replacement and had to almost literally relearn how to walk and had balance/stability issues (I hope this gets better with danceโ€ฆ
