I bought these after being disappointed with the original Honeywell replacement wicks (apparently I'm not alone). So far they have held up very well in our 2 moisturizers! The Honeywell models (purchased outright to ensure authenticity) were thin and flexible, while these are sturdy and easy to hold upright. In both rooms with humidifiers, there was a several percent difference in humidity readings when switching to them.

I bought these because they are a lot cheaper than the manufacturers. They work perfectly and are much cheaper. I have very hard water which is causing my filter to scale up, resulting in more frequent filter changes. I received an email from the company with offers to extend the life of the filter. One tip was to soak in vinegar if a crust formed on the filter. After soaking in a solution of vinegar and water, all the calcium dissolved and it became like new. Very helpful advice.

These wicks work the same as those supplied with the machine but cost less. fan setting. I have surface water so it's not harsh but after about 2 weeks the wicks become crusty and ineffective. While I use clean tap water, I've tried machine water which is said to be softer and better filtered and the results have been the same. So I use them to save as much money as possible. We have two Honeywell humidifiers, one of which we replaced with an OE filter and the other with a Durabasics filter. After using the humidifiers overnight for several weeks and refilling them daily, there is more water in the reservoir of the Durabasics filtered humidifier compared to a Honeywell filtered humidifier. Durabasics replacement filters are described as "made of tough material for maximum structural integrity when wet".
