I love this spare wheel holder - it attaches securely to my trailer but the problem I had was the position of the bolts on my original rim - it didn't fit like I wanted my spare can be fixed with 2 nuts/bolts. I need to drill another bracket into this bracket so I can properly attach the replacement bracket.

I mounted the spare wheel on the drawbar of a truck trailer to make room for extra cargo inside. This item worked exactly as described. I ran a cable lock through the spare tire and trailer frame to deter theft. The mount is solid and the U-bolts fit perfectly.

I have 2 trailers and it gave me extra confidence when I have to travel long distances to haul stuff. I only bought 1 because switching between my 2 pendants is very easy. The only reason I gave this unit 2 stars is because it was bolted to my trailer and the spare tire was attached to it. I installed a spare wheel holder on my boat trailer and noticed two things I didn't like about it. First, it keeps the tire too low to the ground so when I step outside the tire scratches the pavement. There is no way to adjust the holder or tilt the tire to prevent this.
