Type of review

I have three of these and they all broke down within the first year. The battery stops charging and the program will not print without a charged battery even if it is connected to USB for power supply. in the Dymo charger or battery is improperly designed or defective and there is no way to bypass this and just use USB to power it. There's no way to add an AC adapter or charge the battery externally. Very bad design. Why does a USB connected label printer need a battery at all? The printer…

Promise! - Labeller

Wow, right? Do people complain about symbols? I have used many label makers and this one is way better than all the others! So the icons are on a separate button with an error. This is the perfect size. can write multiple lines on one page! It has borders where you can place your text! It can write horizontally and vertically! Font size ranges from 8 to 20 on 1/2 inch tape with 2 choices between priced at $9! And it comes with a band! Don't listen to those people who complain about things like…

Incorrect product description - unit will NOT work with AC adapter

The LabelManager 280 product description says "It can also be powered and charged using the included AC adapter." It is not true. The battery needs to be charged for the device to work. If you try to start it with no battery or with a completely dead battery, you'll get a "Charge the battery!" message when you try to turn it on. Even if the battery is partially charged, you may receive the message "Please wait x minutes while the battery is charging". It uses the same expensive and awkward…

I have had this printer for about a year and a half and it has been very useful to me. I liked that it was USB powered, took up little desk space, and had easy-to-use Windows software. Today I tried to print and found that the internal lithium ion battery has failed. The battery no longer holds a charge, which interferes with the operation of the printer. Why on earth is this a battery powered device? It has no user interface. It's only useful when plugged into a USB power source, presumably…

Outperforms Brother in everything but ONE font!

The label maker is a MUST HAVE and this make/model is a great option for those just starting out in labeling (oh what a joy! I'm so happy for you!)! I already have a Brother labeller and bought it for a friend for Christmas. I couldn't wait to compare them. Here's this Dymo's bottleneck: - Cheaper than its brother (both the device itself and the tape cartridges) - Intuitive and easy to use - Love the QWERTY keyboard - Love that there are different outlines, underlines, text size and style…

*READ INSTRUCTIONS* Trying to decide? Read this review then buy!

Received my DYMO LABELMANAGER 280 today! When reading reviews, first make sure you read the review for the RIGHT MARKING NAME you are planning to buy. All reviews for all labelers are on the same page, so be careful when considering reviews. FONTS. I've seen many people in other reviews expecting 20 different fonts on one labeller. The description states that "font styles" are NOT the same as the fonts like 100 that you can choose from in Microsoft Word. There are only 3 different fonts on the…

only buy! Don't let the reviews fool you!

I ordered a Dymo LM 280 with a roll of black tape on white. The product description and reviews said no power adapter came with the device, but mine did come with one. Now I have to send back the extra power supply that I ordered. Anyway, this label printer doesn't even need batteries, so I think they should give everyone an AC adapter. Anyone who says it takes 6 AAA batteries is full of it because it literally doesn't need any batteries. The device is very light, so it seems that the child…
