It's a good labeling tool for almost anything

This is a good labeling tool for almost everything. A good tool for field work, as well as a connection to a computer that can be used as a printer.

Doesn't recognize cartridges

We have several of these at work. Gradually they stopped recognizing cartridges. One of them also broke the button for attaching labels, which means you have to pull out a small metal tab with pliers after each label. Stay away from dyno label makers. It's overpriced junk destined to fail.

The XTL range sucks!: Office electronics

Dymo XTL 300 is a piece of junk. The device no longer recognizes its cartridges. The device does not allow you to manually enter and print cartridge information. Factory reset doesn't work, software update doesn't work, cleaning sensors and pens with alcohol doesn't work, new cartridges don't work, Dymo support will only tell you the above. The XTL looks really great, so it's a really good paperweight.

Great BUT: Label printer

This is a great machine with a good design. Great user interface, lots of features to create a good label. However, it is poorly designed. It really sucks. The cartridge chamber does not close properly, so the machine cannot see the ribbon. The battery is a disaster. Its circuit is defective. Always shows the status of the pluggable power module. The printer will not print when not connected to a power source (ie in charging mode). When the device is running on battery power and trying to…
