🐠 EA Hang-On Power Filter for Aquariums up to 10 GAL - Non-China-Made Review

This is a great little filter for the money, you can't beat it I guarantee. The first one I ordered was defective and did not start the siphon, but returning the Revain is very easy as you already know. A new one arrived three days later and works great. I am very satisfied with this little filter and I definitely recommend it!

Works great, we'll do it. Plenty of room for filter media and an adjustable flow rate make it truly adaptable. I was concerned because it says it should be an inch above the gravel, mine is about an inch above the sand and no problem at all. Provides a large flow of water and saturates it with oxygen. I braced my extra inch with a handle for extra stirring of the water.

Stupidly when the first one stopped working in less than a week I just ordered another one because they are so cheap. The second also failed in less than a week. The impeller that draws water into the pipe freezes, preventing water from being pumped into the filter, causing the motor to overheat. I am sending this one back and wish I had the first one to return. I threw it away out of desperation!

I used it as a quick little filter to start my shrimp tank. Pros: + very quiet + powerful (too much for my 3G) + easy to set up and flow rate adjustment + additional tank space for additional filter material. Cons: If the pump inlet fails, it hurts to snap it back into place. It was easier for me to remove the filter from the tank, empty it and dry it, it's very difficult. - a small insert of filter material in the packaging. Lots of space in a real filter, the space just isn't being used…

I definitely liked the performance of the EA Hang-On Power Filter. It was quiet and maintained a constant flow of water to ensure it performed well and did its job efficiently. I put my words in the past because I live here in Houston where we had a power outage last week and had to deal with cold weather for several days. That's why I lost all my fish. But I would recommend it if someone is in the market looking for a good filtration system.

I'm sorry :( I have the same filter for my nano 3 gallon, same brand and same style. I think it's even on? It always works smooth and perfect and does a great job keeping the water clean. I expected the same expectations from it. However, I have my aquariums in my room and the noise really sucks (for lack of better words). If you have an aquarium in Have your room or office, This filter can be too loud Again I have this 10 gallon filter in my bedroom and I can tolerate it and sleep well with it
