I had to drill a hole for a street lamp. The hole should be cut into a standard brick and mortar lamp about 4 feet tall. The chisel worked well at first, then it started to fail. I used a 1/2 HP impact drill that seemed to work fine, but not very well. At some point the drill got stuck in the drill hole and could not be removed. It collapsed in the hole, leaving me toothless and about a foot from my target. I don't know if that was a beat or my usage because I've never tried anything like thisβ¦

Contrary to most reviews, I bought this to use for making holes in masonry. Unfortunately it was complete junk. I drilled one hole and on the second I broke off and got stuck in the cinder block. The racquet has a lot of flex so I kept the speed a little low and normal but it hit the block terribly and then failed. It ended up being a waste of money for me and I can't even say I benefited from it because I only had to drill 4 holes and he couldn't even finish the job. I would love to return itβ¦

I needed to install a new outlet on an existing chimney which required drilling horizontally above the chimney. This bit went through the cinder block with ease. Also went through the brick with a little more effort. I have a 1/4" shank which is great and flexes a little but obviously not as much as the smaller shank. I have a wood drill bit with a 3/16" shank and this thing can bend 90 degrees and still drill a hole. Maybe you can get a 45 degree angle with a 1/4" shank! But since I wasβ¦
