Arrived with a chip and crack. Still running so we used it instead of sending it back during COVID. I would recommend using a step drill when drilling the hole for this from a standard size grommet in a hollow core door. Facilitates alignment. The larger eye's clarity is great, even if ours is cracked.

I was a bit intimidated when this type of door arrived as it is quite hefty and larger than a normal door viewer. After drilling a hole for it I just plugged it in and screwed it on and I was done. As simple as it can be. The sight has a lens to close it when not in use; I think it makes the door more elegant with the flap closed.

This viewer is solid and relatively easy to install, but you need to know what you're doing. It is important that the mounting hole drilled is orthogonal to the plane of the door surface to allow the viewer to sit flush.
