Amazing system. fits weight distribution clutches

Much better than my old chain's weight distribution with 2 separate friction wobble adjusters. I wish I had bought this the first time instead of rocking hard for 3 years when a big rig rolls by. The F150 tows a 33-foot camper.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • no automatic

Worth the cost! - Towing and winching accessories

Yes, it's a bit more expensive than some of the other options and it's all about ease of use and safety when towing. It is very well made, durable and works as advertised. After taking all the necessary measurements and adjusting the ball settings, I got less than 1/4 inch of front wheelbase travel.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Excellent value for money and quality.

A towbar is the best investment you can make for your caravan. I've done several rides without it and the ride and handling improvements are 100% better with it. I installed it myself and am not mechanically inclined. It was easy to install. The directions are well thought out and there are many videos on You Tube. While it costs more than other hitches, the fact that its weight distribution and any wobble in the same knot adds to the overall value and ease of use.

Had to return due to problems

Had to return this because I didn't have the right part. (which would be nice to know beforehand) If the hitch is top mounted on your trailer this will work. For floor mounting you need another part that you need to buy. Unfortunately, I didn't know that until I wanted to buy a new camper. So if you buy for Jayco Jay Flight 28bhbe you need another part with this one. She looked well done. Minimum. The box was stamped on January 10, 2013, so it is old new. I don't think they make these anymore

Pros
  • Multiple competitors
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Trekker Stabilization System

Installing the hitch was trial and error. Getting the hangers on the frame in the right place (28-32 inches from the ball) took some time. If you make a sharp turn or need to fold the trailer for any reason, one of the bars may slip out of the bracket if the gap is not adjusted properly. They give you a wrench to tighten or loosen the stabilization system at 45 ft. lbs. You really need a torque wrench and mark the setting on the hitch so you can reset it when you release the stabilization…

Stripped adjustment screw threads

This clutch uses a threaded screw to adjust the leveling force and a screw in the channel on the sides for locking. The problem with this design is that the leverage of your car and trailer together is concentrated at the adjustment screw location. So it's very convenient when lifting trailers and trucks to adjust the leveling force, but it failed for me at some point after picking up the load and driving. Upon disassembly, I found that the threads on the adjusting screw had stripped, causing…

Best WDH hitch, easy to fit with the right tools

The instructions below are a bit confusing when trying to find the right hitch angle. You must use trial and error to ensure the spring bars are properly aligned. Not sure if that's true or not, but after a few adjustments I was ready to go. A torque wrench of 300 lbf ft or more will make this process much easier to get to the 260 mark and your back will thank you. There were no instructions on how much torque to apply to the hangers so maybe I overtightened, not sure if that would cause any…

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Not the best

The best clutch on the market for the money!

This item is amazing and the quality is top notch. The price I paid was so cheap that I was afraid to buy it because it seemed too low to me. It was packed in a double box and both boxes were intact. The clutch was very easy to install and now all I have to do is use it. I know it will perform fantastically, if only for its design and the quality of its materials. The hitch says 600 pounds but the handlebars say 800/8000 pounds so it's a beast. I think it's £600 maybe £6000 without a latch? Not

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Clarity

Great (and quiet) WD hitch!

I did a lot of research before purchasing this hitch. There are many options these days. While it doesn't have as many reviews as some of the others, its unique design really piqued my interest. And Camco is the name I've trusted for RV products for years. Installation and setup was pretty easy. I already had all the tools including the torque wrench. So no extra trips for tools or equipment. The spring bars actually go under the front of my Vee trailer when the truck is turning heavily at all.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Doubtful
