🔘 EBC Brakes USR1386 USR Series Performance Slotted Rotor Review

Great buy. I mounted black rims on my 10 VW GTI, the gray standard rims didn't fit. I replaced them with these slotted black rotors to keep the work looking flawless. Also increased my stopping power, worked great with the EBC Green brakes. Minimal squeak after everything is seated.

These rotors hold up well with EBC Redstuff pads. Braking is phenomenal, with no fade, although I sometimes feel gaps when coming down hard from speed on the freeway. A little growl/buzz pedal but not annoying. You can't say that at normal speed. I will buy again if needed, but so far no signs of wear.

Look Great, Stay Better. I upgraded my VW CC from 17x8 with 235/45/17 tires to 18x8 with 245/40/18. It seemed that the increased size and unsprung mass didn't interact well with the ABS, causing it to work more often than before. It may just be my own imagination, but the press doesn't work like it used to and the machine just stops. Period. An expensive replacement for stock components, but well worth it. Equipped front and rear wheels with EBC rotors and Redstuff ceramic pads.

Nice design (black coating comes off of course if you brake a few times as it should), no vibrations, no installation problems. The cuts are deep enough to be functional, but not so deep that you have to worry about compromising structural integrity. I've ridden them for over 700 miles (EBC Redstuff pads) and they stopped smoothly at any speed, no obvious noise, no fading. Braking power is very good. I drive quite a bit so good brakes are important. I got these rotors for the front and rear of my MK6 Vw GTI. I paired them with red EBC pads and what a difference in stopping power. The manufacturer recommends driving about 1000 miles around town before landing, so I really haven't felt the full effect, they say I put it on correctly.
