Ford 5.4 runs intermittently but no check engine light, codes or other useful information from engine computer. I installed this element and the coils at the same time. The engine worked correctly. Driven a second time and the check engine light came on, the code indicates I should replace this item. Replaces the newly installed element and replaces the old Ford element - the code is erased and remains erased. I do not recommend this item.

Replaced the original with this after the plastic intake tubes on the factory part had cracked/brittled and broken off due to age. The original part did not come with any codes. Replaced the hoses at the same time. Although it fits and connects easily after about 250 miles, the codes keep coming back, indicating a problem with the device. Reset the codes and the same problem will return. Unfortunately there is no return date at the moment, but I would love to come back. OEM replacement coming…

I'm really disappointed in this item but then what do I expect from a product that costs half the price of any aftermarket store. I bought this item and installed it a few days ago and it has already gone bad. I got the code PO405 so I figured it was definitely not a sensor. It's brand new! So I changed the hoses and tried replacing the connector but something was telling me to replace the sensor again. I went to O'Reillys and bought one for $73 and it solved all my problems.

I installed this on a 1996 F250 with a 7.5L/460CI engine. My Check Engine light came on and I decided to fix the problem. The mounting holes matched but the hose connections were rotated 90° from the factory unit. I installed it with a longer piece of vacuum hose. As soon as I replaced it, I received additional error codes that indicated the device was not working properly.
