Easy installation on lifting legs

Easy installation for novice installers. Decent quality so far. They push my hood down on my sonata so I have nothing to complain about.

  • Very fast delivery
Cons

Great fit! good fit for lifting legs

I gave this a 4 out of 5 for ease of installation as I had some issues with the installation which may just be down to not knowing exactly how to do the installation becomes. Instructions would be nice, but I managed it. Otherwise, the product is an excellent replacement.

  • Quality construction

Pick Me Up: Replacement Parts

The removed old hood is easily removed with a small screwdriver and simply snaps onto these new gas struts, even quicker than removing the old one. These new ECCPP Lift Support gas springs are strong and feel very well made. I would order a pair for my other car if needed.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Guard

Too hard. Best lift bracket

I love how strong these hood brackets are. In fact, they are too strong. After installing these racks, I found it difficult to close the hood. My daughter wouldn't have been able to do that, so I removed one of the new struts and reinstalled the old, worn canopy strut. The hood is well supported with just a new hood stay.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Quality

Better than the original

Easy to assemble with a crowbar or screwdriver. The side of the piston has a crease at the port, so I chose to install it with the piston up and the shaft down. In any case, with the lid closed, the device is in a horizontal position. I also only replaced one as the new lift is quite powerful and that was enough.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Nothing

Great product - parts

For my daughter's 2011 Sonata. I really like their sonata but I think these are better than the original. With normal racks, the tank is arranged from bottom to top. Many recommend that the tank be placed on top - face down, which they do. They fit perfectly when the tank is mounted on top of the hood down. Works perfect!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Almost OK

This keeps the hood up

The hood of my 2011 Hyundai Sonata would not stay up without some support. They restored the hood to make it work safely. When removing the old posts I used a piece of cardboard to protect the fairing and pry it out with a flat head screwdriver. I had an assistant hold the hood while I changed it one side at a time. Installation requires a basic understanding of mechanics.

Pros
  • Heavy finish
Cons
  • Was damaged

Holds hood well for shocks, struts and suspension

I liked the price and the ease of installation. Lots of videos. Each rack has two ends. They work in a similar way to a trailer hitch. The car's hood and body are made of two small spherical pieces whose ends overlap, allowing the joint to rotate when the hood is lifted and closed. The original ends of my 2013 Hyundai Sonata were straight and aligned with the strut body. These interchangeable stands have a slightly angled end. I thought they might be an advantage, but I felt like maybe it's not

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable
