I bought this product with caution as I normally ONLY replace OEM parts. I decided I would give it a try and see how it would work. To my amazement, the item was just as if not better than the one I replaced. I have a 2018 Ford Focus and it's a bit difficult to replace under the passenger side, but it's not too bad. I immediately noticed a flow of air in my car vacuum. So far, so good.

Well, really, that's what they said. It filters out dirt, leaves, etc. But without the carbon layer, any odors from outside the car will seep into the interior. I forgot how nice it is to have that clean air until I installed this filter. I couldn't figure out why I was smelling so many bad smells and then I realized I had this useful filter built in. I ordered one with a carbon layer and will change it.

Perfect for my 2017 Ford Escape. As mentioned, the placement of the cabin filter in the Escape is strange, but not impossible. In total it took me about 10 minutes. In comparison, the filter on my other cars takes about 2 minutes. Fits exactly like OEM and also made like original. Replacing the C-Max filter is non-trivial - you'll have to google it and make sure the instructions or videos are actually for the American C-Max and not the Focus, Fiesta or European C-Max. Then take the T-20 driver, a good working light and be patient. One T-20 screw, squeeze two tabs and remove the cover.
