Saved me time and hassle

I'm so glad I bought new hoses when replacing my 1999 F150 hp pump. Failed to remove original hose from original pump, too tight.

1998 navigator. OEM fit and quality.

Installed as OEM. For 1 month installation does not flow. I also replaced the reservoir with a power steering pump hose (Motorcraft W0133). for your information. I had to remove the pump to install the Edelmann line.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Damaged

however, renders the part unusable for the specified application

This high pressure power steering hose has the wrong nut on the end of the gearbox; The nut is too short to create a seal by compressing the o-ring. This is a very strange defect but renders the part unusable for its intended application, 2000 F150. (MLD)

Mixed issues almost led to disaster!

When this hose arrived we didn't notice the muddled threads. We didn't find any problem when manually tightening the fitting in the steering gear. But as soon as we started tightening the fitting, it immediately started tearing down the steps. Luckily I stopped tightening as soon as I noticed the problem leaving only a few threads frayed. Since this fitting is sealed with a tiny O-ring and does not fit, it requires very little torque. The fitting is really steel, not brass or copper, so I'm atโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Steering System
Cons
  • So far so good
