Bad repair option

Not a very good repair on my air line end. Rebuilt a few times and always leaking. Chewed on the outer surface of the hose and attempted to screw in the insert, the hose came out of the fitting. Even the contact surfaces lubricated. Doesn't matter. As a result, I installed a barb fitting using the original ferrule. Much better now.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Excellent repair best in fittings

Very good design and very good price. The hose must have a very clean cut to install the sleeve. I used Windex to lubricate and bolt on the fitting. After the fitting was installed, a light coat of grease was applied to the threaded insert and hose ID. Clamped in a vise, both fittings lightly mated.*Compare the price of this repair end versus the cheap snap on type and fuel line clamp, this is not a problem. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

What I needed best in fittings

After many years my old air hose started leaking at the end. Instead of wasting money on a new one, I looked for parts and found this one. The old 3/8" hose has an OD of 11/16" which was necessary for proper attachment. When installing I applied some air tool oil to the outside of the hose and slipped the outer sleeve over the hose. First I took care of the square cutout. After screwing the outer part all the way in with a wrench, it's time to install the part inside the hose. Reapply air tool…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
