Great for getting bulbs in hard clay soil

This Jayzod bit is the same hole size as my last one but a lot heavier duty shaft and flutes and it’s less money. It does a good job and saves a lot of time. I bought over 400 bulbs to plant this winter for Spring blooming and this saved the day. I tried to dig with a spade and quickly realized it wasn’t gonna happen. We have 25 acres that I’m covering with bulbs, so I’m digging in everything from red dense clay to hillsides and a mountain with lots of soft rock formations and this can get the…

  • This auger is a perfect for soils that are not related to clay or glacial till.

  • Product does not function effectively on a standard electric drill. It just didn’t get the job done.

The right tool for the job

The ground is frozen now and the snow is deep, but when weather permits, I plan on drilling a dozen or more small holes in a gravel parking lot to install small posts and small, thin, flexible, reflective boundary markers.I have cordless drills, but that job requires more torque so I will use my Craftsman corded 1/2" drill. Works great! good for me

I used this item for planting my trees and other gardening things, but mainly for making a big enough hole for dirt+tree. Before this product, I just used a good old shovel+hoe. However, there were ridiculously hard spots that required a lot of effort just to break through, but this drill bit thing really made it easier, although I would say it still struggled a bit (but all that matters is that it worked!).Overall would buy again and highly recommended.

PERFECT FOR BEACH UMBRELLA

IT IS A LITTLE HEAVY, BUT WILL LAST FOREVER. WORKS GREAT WITH BATTERY POWERED DRILL. CAN'T WAIT TO USE ON THE BEACH. WILL BE GREAT FOR YARD WORK TOO WHEN A WHOLE IS NEEDED.

Quick and concise holes

Easy to install on my drill. We needed to drill 12” depth in clay soil, not an easy task. The Auger produced a quick and concise hole. We were installing steel rod, so the concise holes required less back filling.

Great auger for posts, plants, whatever your drilling needs

Bought this for posts I need to dig out for some fencing and this little auger is great to have. Harder to use a post hole digger to get it deep enough and yet still get in to a tight area, where the width of a shovel doesn't fit very well.Well built, great hex attachment for a heavy duty drill. Will save you time and headache in the future if you need to dig some holes in tight areas, or if you don't have to drill in tight areas. Very convenient to use. Recommended.

Good in clay soil best in my review

I used this today and it works well on clay soil, not as great when it hits larger rocks, although I have to say that it cut my digging time down by a great deal. Helped make planting my grapevine easier.

Be sure it is tight in drill

It makes great holes as long as you do not have all clay soil - but nothing does well in clay soil. Excellent product. Sturdy.

Great to use for my opinion

It works great I’ve used it for small posts , plants around the house for bigger holes I’ve used it to loosen the dirt to dig easier over all I’m happy with it for the money . We have very rocky dirt it digs through the rocks or in the softer dirt and clay hope you have a strong wrist .

How did I ever survive without this?

Splendid piece of equipment for drilling holes in the ground for planting! My back and knees are appreciative. It may not be compatible with small or cramped gardening areas.

Made it easy: my feedback

Well, this was one of those "Do I need that?" items and, yes, actually, I did need that. It attaches easily to the standard cordless drill and works well in loose soil.It's not as good at driving into hardened soil, but a little persistence or some initial shoveling and it works just fine.Depth was good, and we used it plant several saplings.
