Excellent color; I think they will last.

Plastic shutters painted in Salty Dog (dark)_ blue. Fits very well! Hopefully it helps that they stay in place. If you have to pull one out (because the hole wasn't drilled deep enough) this will dislocate the blades/where they won't work (I think; purchased extra just in case).

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Band

In my case Shutter Loks didn't fit.

The replacement shutters were the same style and shape as the new units I received. The slat openings were the same and wore out after about 20 years. The shutter locks I installed about 7 years ago wouldn't stay in place so I used longer screws to attach the new shutters. Not in the corners where the blind locks are. Plastic dowels are not the best choice in my opinion.

Pros
  • We recommend using 8 pieces. for a pair up to 55 inches.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options.

Works very well. I ordered more than I needed in case I ever need to do another repair. They are not available at the local home center. Our house was built 13 years ago. Constant exposure to the sun and heat seems to have brittled the old fasteners. The effects of the recent hurricane force winds broke several fasteners on two shutters set into the cement joints of the brick. The hardest part of the repair, aside from getting close enough to do the job, was removing what was left of the broken

Pros
  • Fits easily into plaster, brick, panelling, etc.
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Bends if hit too hard

Latches work. I bought painted because we had just painted our front boards, new gutters and shutters to match. Fasteners were already very close to this color. **Things I'd like to do before I start** I didn't do a good job of measuring the depth of every hole that was already there, so I tried hammering them past the required depth. Because of this, they buckled, deformed, and didn't fit properly. I had to cut the length of each to fit each hole. So if you're using them to replace some old…

Pros
  • We recommend using 12 pieces. for a pair over 55"
Cons
  • Can't remember
