Ember Charging Coaster 2, Black - compatible with Ember Temperature Control Smart Mug Review

It doesn't get any better than this. About a week after receiving my Ember mug, which I kept on the table below, I quickly realized I wanted a second pedestal to sit upstairs next to the TV. I drink tea very slowly, so I exceed the battery life. This completely solved my problem and now I have power no matter where I sit in the house. So glad they offer this!

I had to replace an original coaster 13 months after receiving the glowing ember mugs as a gift because the pins on the coaster no longer jumped out properly and therefore no longer loaded the mug . Now my second coaster has done the same - 14 months of use (only one year warranty). In my opinion something this expensive should last for years. I have filed a complaint with Amber and will not replace my second broken coaster until I receive a response.

hot drink idea is perfect the mug is good but the charger is very bad. the one that came with the cup stopped charging after 8 months, i found the 2 prongs getting shorter and hiding in the ground and i had to pry them out with tweezers to make them visible again and get the necessary charging contact. I love embers and travel mugs. Bought three for myself and two as gifts. However, cup holder chargers are terrible. The metal conductor will sooner or later get stuck in the retracted position. This last one I bought took less than a month before this happened although I was very vigilant and careful. Every coaster I've ever had to replace. However, Ember is excellent. When I contacted them they replaced all three of my coasters for free. .

When it works, it's great. In July 2020 I replaced the original charging plate and now 13 months later I have to replace it again. You may forget to pull out the small pins on the loading plate as they will not stay upright. They charge an outrageous price for a kit and then charge $40 for a poorly designed replacement charging plate. I've been very careful to keep it clean and dry and I find it very frustrating to pull out the contacts to charge it. I would not buy again.
