Battery Stopped Holding a Charge After 9 Months

Battery worked fine for first 6 months, then held noticeably less charge each use. Now, after 9 months, it will not hold a charge. Charger #1 (which came with the battery) just blinks red for days. Tried to re-charge in 2 other chargers and same blinking red light. All 3 of my chargers are able to fully charge (solid green) other B&D 40v batteries. This one is a dud. Buy cheap, buy twice.

FAST easy Charger - my new review

Just make sure batter click in and you are all set. Delighted with this after challenges with others. And I've got a couple different types of batteries due to being ordered years apart - they all fit and charge just fine!

40 volt trimmer savior

My original B&D charger died in the middle of me working on my back yard.I have a ton of Dewalt batteries and chargers so I really wanted to go Dewalt.For the price of this charger and battery. I can put that purchase off and finish my yardBattery and charger came overnight. I am very impressed . I now have 2 fully charged 40 volt batteries

Great value oackage

Great value for the money. I cannot speak of the original batteries, but this one lasts and charges quickly. All of that for half the price of the original. cannot ask for more!

Work well on my lawn mower. Great value and long lasting power.

I have been using them for 5 to 6 times on my Diehard 40V lawn mowers. So far, it seems comparable with this battery. Most of my original batteries are old and won’t recharged easily; hard to find the original brand, it’s expensive when found in market. Thought I try this Black and Decker battery and it works great; also at a very less expensive. Love it.

Works great for the price. Worthy purchase.

The battery works great. I used it for about an hour with a weed whacker. Charger has clear instructions and is discreet. No issues so far. Great value for the price.

Third time is a charm

I ordered two previous batteries that would not charge. Returned both but still needed one. So, I ordered this one (with the charger I really did not need) and it seems to work ok. Only thing to take away from this is that not all batteries are created equal. Hope this one is a good one.

Don’t buy this. in my review

Came with a completely different charger than what is pictured. Did not charge after the first use. I bought an actual Black & Decker charger thinking that was the problem but the battery still does not work.

Doesn’t charge my old batteries

Charges the battery it comes with, but not my old batteries which are a different brand but fit all fit my trimmer. The battery may not work in extreme temperatures, making it unsuitable for outdoor use in certain regions.

Wow - impressed for my opinion

This is a very nice charger and works FAST. Replaces another 40VT charger and there is NO comparison - this is a real charger, much larger than my previous one, easier to find and use as well. The battery that came with it charged immediately for use. Highly recommend.

Used once and doesn’t work anymore

Purchased this a month and a half ago and the charger suddenly stopped working. I’m outside of the return window so I can’t even exchange it. Literally used it one time.
