It was great to find a Li-ion battery to use in my older Black and Decker electric screwdriver, which is very convenient and useful, just old. The batteries fit and the screwdriver is useful again. However, the materials packed with the product say that these batteries are not compatible with chargers for NiCad batteries, i.e., the chargers that Black & Decker shipped with these older products. But doesn't work at all when used with an identical battery in my VersaPak 7.2 volt drill. These hold a charge very well -- much, much better than the OEM NiMH batteries. Every time I'd want to use that B+D screwdriver, Id have to charge it first. No more -- insert the Li Ion battery and it's ready to go!

This fit in my Black and Decker PIvot Driver and chargers without issue. The tools work just fine with the batteries, so far so good.

These higher density versions make the old Versa Pak tools shine. If like me you have a 3/8" drill and a pivot screw driver you'll be able to do 99% of household needs.90 day follow up. No problems so far. Interesting to me is that these stop charging when full. The charge light on both OEM and aftermarket chargers go out which has never happened with NiCad or NiMh batteries. Working great in a Black & Decker electric screwdriver. Stays ready to go and with a spare battery too. A 2amp USB supply is needed, a cord is included and almost everyone has a spare USB power supply sitting around. Look out plastic model airplane bolts, you are no match for this screwdriver now!

Easy to use, I love this battery charger and batteries becasue they power my batteries for the scrubber which I love. As Advertised.

Arrived still holding a charge -- fit SNUGLY -- old battery just dropped in the screwdriver and the charger, while the new one needs to given an extra push to get all the way in. Not complaining. It's more positive seating. But I suspect it's what some people complained about, saying the battery doesn't fit or doesn't work.

This is the second time I've attempted to obtain VersaPak replacement batteries. The first purchase was from a company on Walmart called PWR+ and they were terrible. So far, the battery powers my screwdriver as it should, but, as others have said, it is a VERY tight squeeze to get out of the screwdriver to charge it again. I'll live with that since my screwdriver is working again. Too soon to tell about the longevity, but the price sure beats the Black and Decker battery!

I have an old scumbuster from black and decker that hadn't been used for years. I had lent it out to several relatives through the years and some parts were lost. Imagine my surprise that I could get batteries and replacement pads. I received them charged batteries and replaced pads and voila! they work. Feel good to refurbish an item I can use today! Thanks! I bought these for my Versa Pak circular saw and they were great when I first received them. I removed them from the saw for storage and needed them six months later. Of course they needed a charge and I thought nothing of it. I charged them and they did not work. Thinking the charger might be bad since it saw the original charger, I purchased a new one. I have a pretty full set of Black and Decker Versa tools, but the batteries no longer work. Batteries charged up and ran the hedge trimmer we have Model VP410. Getting the batteries back out requires a bit of work, as they are too tight to pull out by hand. Put pliers to them and you can wiggle them and pull them out with little effort. All and all a good buy though as the batteries last quite a while.

We had ordered batteries from two different companies and they did not work. They would not charge and one set was even bloated upon arrival. The batteries we received from Energup were already charged and fit our Black & Decker Tool perfectly. The were the exact batteries and charged up perfectly. We are very happy with this product and will order again.

They're supposedly the same as the brand name batteries but you can tell by their light weight that they don't have the same "juice" and then when you try to use them, they can't even power a handheld drill strong or fast enough to actually work. Very disappointed. Maybe they would work for some other kinds of devices but certainly not for power tools.

Wow factor = 10! I replaced the NiCads with these NiMh, and am totally impressed. Instead of 2000mAh, I get 3000mAh, and they now seem to last forever. Also, the NiCad have a memory charge problem, and the NiMh do not, so I do not have to worry about letting the battery fully discharge before recharging. There was a time of several years where I could not get replacements, either NiCad or NiMh. I am glad I can now get replacements, and NiMh. These work well, and are worth stocking up, in case…

Ordered these 3.6 volt Lithium batteries for my old 7.2 volt Dust Buster. Sorry to say they did not work in this Model VP7240. I had replaced these batteries a few years ago with other brand Ni-Cd, which have worked for a couple of years. The battery did work in my 3.6 volt pivot driver, so I will be happy with my purchase.
