I used a washable filter and may have oiled it so I gave up on that route and took this one. Of course everything seems to be fine. Best per gallon expected of any filter because I refilled my last filter but seems to be working great after only 500 miles so far. Probably similar to any other filter I would think of.

This air filter replaces my dirty frame filter so I am comparing this filter to my old frame filter. This filter is shearing and thin. At first I thought it was made of styrofoam, and maybe it is. I can almost see through it! The frame filter uses a thicker filter material. I haven't used it yet, so this is my first review and touching assessment. Who knows this filter uses NASA spacecraft material stolen from us by China.

It was an amazingly cheap and easy upgrade! I changed the air filter on my 2008 Toyota Rav 4 in 5 minutes. No tools required and no screws to remove! In my opinion the quality of the air filter is as good if not better than the OEM. I have a 2009 Lexus ES and after watching a few videos on YouTube I realized I had enough skills to do the job. Engine air filter to improve engine performance. Enough said. It was snow white and the old one was slightly dirty. Might live with it for a few more months but it was maintenance time so I replaced it along with other things. The car definitely runs better.
