Just missed a lot

Didn't make it all the way around the wheel so I had to cut it off and leave a gap. The package was correctly labeled. Not sure why it was short.

Pros
  • Wheels and Accessories
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Doesn't stick to the bike rim

Honestly it would be great if there was actually adhesive material to stick it on the inside of the bike rim but I think you need glue so sent it back instead

So far so good, good for the sport

I bought these because the old rim tape snapped. The exhausts were on the inside of the tubes where they pressed against the rim tape. The new tape stopped the outbreaks. I didn't rate the adhesion as there is no adhesive. The tape is stretched slightly to fit snugly around the rim.

Pros
  • Rims and parts
Cons
  • Some trouble

Better than Velox for cycling

Retro grouches will upset me about this, but this material is WAY better than Velox webbing. Velox is not suitable for all rim sizes and inevitably loses its stickiness over time. And don't even try to install Velox with slightly dirty or greasy fingers or you'll have trouble sticking it. These nylon strips (it's not really accurate to call them tape as they don't have any glue) are a little tricky to put on, but they snap and don't move AT ALL. Clap! Your hoses are protected!

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Upgrade available

Lifebuoy, no more flats

Fairly easy to install although it requires training to get the stem bore lined up properly, ridden almost 1000 miles without a flat. Started getting up to 3 apartments a day. UPDATE: Worked well for about 10 months/3km. I started getting flats again and upon inspection the rim tape rides up one side of the rear wheel exposing the spoke holes hence new pinches. I was able to move it around a bit but how long will probably need replacing. The original tacky fabric rim tape lasted approximately 8

It's NOT TAPE, it's rim tape.

Contrary to all the bad reviews about no sticking or difficult installation: 1. There are plenty of videos on how to properly install rim tape. It's like putting on a tire. The only thing to worry about is that the valve stem bore is aligned.2. It's not a band; that's a rim tape. The rim tape is not coated with adhesive because the elasticity of the tape means it stays in place with friction and pressure. It will never move unless you re-tighten the strip during installation. Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
