Stay away from this slow, error-prone scanner

Surprisingly bad. After paying a high price for a high-speed scanner, I got something slower than my $100 Brother MFC-2700 multifunction printer. Scan documents twice to get 1 result. It advertises that you can load a large number of sheets in the ADF. Not right. Don't go over 20. It's the same as my old battered Brother scanner. Much luck. Gregory Boyes

Good upgrade from GT-2500

Great upgrade from GT-2500. Removes some steps, makes document scanning easier - you don't need to save them anywhere; the ability to email them instantly; I have yet to figure out how to open the digital file I scanned it into and how to install a printer driver so I can print directly from the scan screen. I've only been using it for a few weeks but I really like this device :) The color scans look great :) The dual scan feature update is also great as it only goes through it once. This is a…

AWESOME Scanner!: Office Electronics

This scanner works fantastic! I've spent so much time over the years trying to get scanners to be recognized by the computer, and then finally getting them to work, only to have to start all over again the next time I use them. This scanner is activated automatically when you start the software or load the automatic feeder. It scans double-sided pages in auto-feed mode and does a good job. I was skeptical about paying that much for a scanner but I've had it for about 2 months now and I don't…

Disappointed, should have lasted longer

I bought this device with network (Ethernet) interface back in December 2013. It worked fine on our Mac network until March 2018 when it suddenly stopped scanning no matter what we tried to fix it. We need a network scanner to serve multiple users for fairly easy general use, but we've rarely used the flatbed scanning feature. It scanned photos well, but figuring out how to change the settings from scanning documents to scanning photos was a challenge. I believe we could send this unit in for…

A real workhorse. in document scanner

I've been using this scanner for a while and I can say that it's sturdy and pulls in old or curled paper very reliably. I would not skimp on these tools. Their usefulness mainly stems from their reliability and dependable delivery. If these things don't work, you won't save any time, which is why I would recommend not wasting your money on a cheap document scanner. The included OCR software works so well that I was able to scan all my old papers, financial reports, etc. and basically tidy up…

  • An absolute legend

  • Definitely a bad product

Does not support searchable PDF on Macintosh

I bought this scanner for Macintosh use. First, I had trouble installing the drivers from the included CD on both Macintoshes I tried: one worked on Snow Leopard, the second on other Mavericks (both should be supported). There is a workaround: you can manually install the Abbyy Finereader Sprint program from the installation CD and download the drivers from the Epson website. , and the downloadable PDF specification sheet from the Epson website states that the included scanner software will NOT
