but the bit chewed through the doors like nothing, perfect hole

I have two metal foam filled doors that I wanted to put peepholes in. I wasn't expecting much but this bit gnawed through the doors like nothing, a perfect hole and I don't see any bit damage. It's nice to get something that exceeds your expectations. it made the job so easy. very satisfied.

Won't go through a 1 3/4 " door

This tip was not sharp enough to fit through a 1 3/4" fiberglass door. It went about 1/3 of the way on one side and then just twisted and burned out, and then about 1/3 of the way through the other side before it just twisted and burned out. I bought this particular part for a job and it couldn't get the job done. I had to finish the hole with other drill bits and the two sides of the finished hole aren't touching as evenly as they should.

Should be longer, preferably in peepholes

I bought this to fit a peephole in my front door. The chisel went through the first side of the door (it's sort of a front door with metal on the outside and hollow foam on the inside), but then the drill wasn't long enough to get to the other side of the door. door, and she got lost in the "in between" of the foamy part. Miraculously, I managed to drill the hole straight and adjust both sides so the peephole worked.

The quality and ease of use make it easy to install the door viewer.

It's time to install the peephole properly. No problem with a steel-insulated front door. Sharp clean cut. Wear suitable safety goggles, the metal cutout away from the door may be hot. Prepare a broom and dustpan for cleaning. As I make this myself I have other projects it can be used for, if not I could sell it on the internet at a discount. Used drill with adjustable speed. DONE. Crossed off the to-do list.

Great item when you need it!

Wanted to look at the garage door at my house, found this hole saw to drill a hole in the door. Great price, great little saw, worked as it should (I once drilled a pilot hole in a door). My granddaughter needed a new viewer that would fit in her front door, I bought one that was 5/8" OD and her old one was only 1/2" - I found that a 1/2" OD socket would fit . in the saw teeth and allowed me to gently widen the hole to 5/8 inch. I may never use it again, but so far it's definitely been perfect.

Quality product in peepholes

I cut through a steel foam insulated door with no problem. Actually, it worked too well. I marked the inside and outside of the door with the intention of cutting the outside metal and then cutting the inside metal of the door. Then I removed the foam insulation. In a matter of seconds, the hole saw drilled through the outer panel, through the insulation, and drilled through the inner panel of the door. Luckily I was able to keep the drill straight and went outside where I marked the inside of…

  • Great for outdoor activities

  • Not bad
