🚚 Erickson 09091 Swing-Out Hook Truck/Trailer Anchor with Spring Loaded Mechanism, Pack of 2 Review

Bought a pair to see how they work. They worked so well I ordered 4 more, placed them on the boat trailer frame and threaded the boot straps through.

I have placed two orders for the same part. The first was as shown in the picture, including gaskets and screws. The second had the same item but completely different, with no gaskets and screws. The second ones weren't practical as they don't work for what I need. Someone needs to check their quality control. Very disappointed.

Got these for my 89 F150. Attach them to the outside of the truck. Recently used to hold 2 tie downs per hook to hold a 700lb motor in the bed of a truck. No tears or creases in the hook with pressure holding the motor in place and each has 2 mounting hooks attached. I will be buying more for another truck soon.

I'm ordering two packs expecting them to be the same and as pictured but they aren't. A package was as pictured and exactly what I wanted and ordered. The other package of the two was of a different size and shape and completely unsuitable for my purpose. Both packages had the same part number so I'm afraid of ordering again and not getting what I ordered.

Sleek design lays flat in the bed of a pickup truck and doesn't catch passers-by, strong enough for most things. I have a 4 to side on my 25 year old truck which gives a lot of tie down points. They look unobtrusive, not flashy like those chrome spikes that are sometimes used. After 4 years in the California coastal climate there is no rust. But over time they rust. They are made of galvanized steel. I'm going to repaint a pickup, that's why I bought a new kit. I wish Erickson would make a…
